Stacy L. Knoll, MS, LPC
Licensed Psychotherapist

Stacy specializes in outpatient treatment of children, adolescents, adults as well as families and couples.

Stacy has the ability to develop a supportive rapport with a diverse population and to create a safe and therapeutic environment. She has extensive experience in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, physical and sexual abuse as well as family relationships. Stacy assists in developing coping skills in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Theresa McMunn, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Theresa is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health. Much of Theresa’ s experience and passion is involved in working with children, adolescents, families, couples and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, trauma-related issues, and/or relationship difficulties.

Theresa works within a strength-based approach; adjusting therapy to the needs of each individual. She will often draw from various approaches that include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, Mindfulness based practices, Family Systems and Play Therapy.

Nancy Kottke, LCSW, CSAC – Certified AODA Provider

Nancy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years experience in both the inpatient and outpatient community. Nancy is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with an expertise in working both with the individual who is struggling with their own substance abuse issues, as well as their families who are affected. Nancy believes in a holistic approach to therapy, combining both physical and emotional health with the healing process. Nancy works with children, adolescents and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse and self harm.

Psychiatrists

David Pierce, MD, MA
Board Certified Psychiatrist, General Psychiatry, Addiction/Suboxone Treatment

Dr. David Pierce is a board-certified psychiatrist with additional training in Addiction Psychiatry and extensive experience in treating children and adolescents. He attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Columbia University in Psychiatry. In addition to medical management of psychiatric conditions, Dr. Pierce has extensive experience in psychotherapy and is a strong supporter of employing psychotherapy and other non-medication approaches when medication is not necessary or beneficial to treatment or recovery. His patients often feel understood, appreciate his practical advice and feel relieved when they sense his concern for their well-being and motivation to help them get better.

​His areas of specialty include treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder with adults, adolescents and children. With anxiety disorders, he treats individuals who suffer from excessive worry, panic attacks, social anxiety and trauma-related anxiety. His other area of specialty is in addiction, working previously as an Addiction Counselor for 4 years prior to going to medical school and having spent an additional year of training in Addiction Psychiatry. He has a strong interest in helping both dependent individuals and their families overcome issues related to alcoholism, chemical dependency and other addictions.

Donald Roth, PsyD, APNP
Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber

Dr. Don Roth has worked in various roles in the field of mental health since 1985. He worked as a counselor while earning his BSN from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As an RN, he worked in the areas of child, adolescent, adult and geriatric inpatient psychiatric services. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology (with a focus on health psychology) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Chicago. As a psychologist, Don has worked in the areas of psychical rehabilitation (brain trauma and spinal cord injury); psychiatric consultation for hospital intensive care units and general medical-surgical units, as well as outpatient psychotherapy services. In response to the growing demand for psychiatric medication management services, he received training as an advance practice nurse prescriber through Alverno College and received Board Certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHPN-BC) through the ANCC commission on certification.

Dr. Roth’s approach to psychiatric medication management is informed by a holistic and solution focused approach. He views medication as just a variety of possible resources that people can use to meet their goals toward a more desired way of living.

Monika Zawadzka, APNP
Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber – Board Certified

Monika is an APNP experienced in treating patients who struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, ADHD and dementia. She has worked with adolescents, adults and older adults in various settings, including inpatient units and outpatient clinics. She encourages her patients to be active participants in their treatment plans. Monika believes that educating patients on their diagnosis and medications plays an important part in their recovery. In addition to initial assessments, medication management and patient education, Monika provides individual and family therapeutic interventions as indicated and appropriate. She creates a calm and trusting environment for her clients.
